Privacy Policy

ChatBrowser stores your account details (name, email, a hashed password), your plan, and a record of how many AI tokens you use.

Chrome extension

The ChatBrowser extension's single purpose is to let you chat with an AI assistant that completes web tasks for you. Tasks run in a browser on your private cloud computer, not in your own tabs.

Data we handle. The messages you type or speak, the pages the assistant visits on your cloud computer (their text and screenshots), and the results, are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate responses, and your chat history and automations are saved to your account so they sync across devices. This content is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models. Sites you block in Settings are never visited. The extension does not read the pages you browse in your own Chrome.

Why it needs its permissions. The side panel shows the chat; storage keeps your sign-in and settings in your Chrome profile; tabs opens the sign-in and live-view tabs; alarms keeps your automation list in sync; notifications tell you when a task needs you or has finished; and the offscreen document plays sounds and listens for the "Hey Robot" wake word after you grant microphone access. A small content script shows the floating robot on web pages and does not read or collect page content. Voice audio is converted to text in your browser and is not recorded or stored.

Sign-in and profiles. Each Chrome profile signs in separately and appears in your dashboard as its own device; you can sign it out there at any time. Sign-in tokens are stored only in that profile's extension storage.

Google data

If you connect Google Drive & Sheets, we store an encrypted access token so the assistant can search and read your Drive files and read or update Google Sheets when you ask it to. Drive content is fetched only when a task needs it, is passed to the AI model to complete that task, and is not stored on our servers or used for advertising or to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard or from your Google Account settings.

Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see your card details.
